A Guest post for Ping's Pickings

When Ping of Ping's Pickings asked if I would do a guest post for her because she needed to return to her hometown to take care of some important matters, I did not even have to think but told her that I would. I was glad she thought of me and I am happy to help out in whatever way I can. This is what friends are for, right? So I did a guest post for her and it was published on her blog yesterday. If you are interested to make some macaroons (two 'Os') not macarons, do hop over to her blog to get the recipe. It is a fantastic recipe and yielded very tasty macaroons. At least that was what my Quay Lo's expression told me when he took the first bite. Another strong evidence that they must be good is, when I woke up the next morning, they were all gone! LOL!

  2. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
This has certainly been a life/blog saver :)
So sorry for the delay. As I'd mentioned on my post, I'd wanted to set this before I left but there had been an emergency and I had to leave a week earlier than expected .... and no internet excess where I was! In this day and age? But it was a blessing for when I got back. Thank you again, dear Lucy. Hugs galore!

PS: What does it mean "see feet" when it comes to maracoons? :P

    1. Great, I am sure you will be going there often after that. Have fun!

    2. Sorry, forgot to answer your question. You don't "see feet" in macaroons (2 "Os"). You only "see feet" in macarons (1 "O"). Okay "see feet" means you see the nicel ruffle at the bottom edge of the cookie. That is the trickiest achievement in baking macarons.

    3. Tks so much for your explanations for both macaroons and macarons, Quay Po! Guess I gotta really practice on my 1 "O" if I wanna see feet! LOL :P

  12. These brought back so much memories! I used to buy these from a bakery near my college sometimes, and enjoyed them so much!! Eating something with coconuts in somehow reminded me of home and I was very homesick. Thank you for your recipe, I've kept them in the folder of my to-do list :)

  14. Sorry to ask this ... but why the need to be guest post on your friend's blog in her absence?

    1. Well, the need for guest posts is to give the owner of the blog a break to do what is more important. If possible, it is better not to let one's blog be inactive for too long.
