Aunty Lucy "pecah lubang" (uncover the truth)

Two months ago on a Monday, I accompanied my Quay Lo to the dentist and used the Valet parking at the building where the dentist was. After his dental appointment, we both walked across the street to get a two hour massage. Since we were around the vincinity to our good friends house, we called them and asked them to join us for dinner and we told them that we would pick them up from their home.

We saw this Italian restaurant just next the the Valet Parking and went ahead and booked a table for four, for dinner at 7.30pm. After picking our good friends up from their home, we returned to the same building where the dentist and the Italian restaurant were. We used the Valet parking again.
After dinner, as usual, I had to look for the parking ticket, here, there, everywhere in my big bag and finally found two parking tickets instead of one. I knew one was the afternoon parking ticket and one was the evening. The evening parking ticket is what I needed to hand over to the jockey. I was confused because I could not figure out which one was the evening parking ticket. Both tickets had the same number. WHAT?? Am I loosing it or something was wrong with my eyes? I took both the tickets to the jockey counter. I told him I could not understand why I had two tickets with the same number. Then this petite Chinese lady heard what I said and came over to see what went wrong. She asked me to give her the tickets and as soon as she saw the tickets, she turned to me and said, this is not your problem, this is our staff problem. She quickly checked through her log book and immediately started to scold the jockey. I believe by now, you guys have already figured out what happen. Holy Macro! Aunty Lucy may have put someone out of job!!

Despite all the hoo ha, we had a fun night and a scrumptious Italian dinner and we were so stuffed that we did not want to have a heavy lunch the next day. So, my Quay Lo fixed us a very simple pasta salad for lunch.  it was a light and refreshing lunch and I am a happy girl because I was served by my King. LOL!

  1. Your King certainly knows how to serve his Queen, hehe.

And parking ticket drama? Hope the poor valet staff didn't get his sotong fried... :(

    1. Kenny, if that staff got sotong fried, don't you think he asked for it by trying to cheat his employer?

  2. The jockey wanted to cheat you?

  21. Sweetie, it is not weird once you know why. Did you figure that out?

  22. Hi Lucy. I trust you're having a blast right now. Enjoy for me as well!
I've never trusted valet parking. A friend believed his car keys was duplicated from one of those and his car got stolen very promptly after. And also heard from one of them (shhh ... inside info) that they get paid to get an imprint of car keys for the syndicate. So there you are. Be careful. That's why I drive a beaten up junk that nobody wants :D
On a lighter note .... I love this dressing. I've always added a dash of sesame oil in my vinaigrette so I know this I would love!

    1. Lucy, yes I am having a good time. Yesterday I went berries picking. It was fun. Today I went to swap meat and got myself some really nice and cheap blouses. Tomorrow we will be going for an Italian cooking class demo by a well known chef. I am looking forward to meet this handsome Italian chef:D as regards to valet parking, my Quay Lo said we should worry about our safety more than the car. You be careful when you park your car at the basement too. You sure know what to love, this is a killer dressing:D

    2. Hmm .... I'm assuming you meant "swap meet" and not trading in your beef for some clothes :)
Still checking out handsome chefs wherever you go, eh? Haha! Have fun!

  27. Veron, such confusing situations, right! Just a small matter, I'm sure the jockey should be alright. Honestly, this making us Lucy even worst...loosing our mind trying to figure out what is what! And wondering if it is our fault. You know what I mean? haha....
However, hope you're going to have a great week ahead.
    Blessings
    Kristy

  28. Kristy, frankly, I am not sympathetic to the jockey for his dishonesty in trying to cheat his employer's money. I know it is not my fault. I am having a great time with my family in LA. You too have a great week.

  29. Veronica, your posts are always intriguing, and interesting...never know what the outcome will be, but good thing it had a "happy ending"
At first, when I saw the mention about a "jockey"...LOL I thought you went to the horse races. I never heard parking attendant being called Jockey, or is it a "British" term?

I love your hubby's delicious pasta salad with the creamy and wonderful Tahini dressing, combined with the honey, dijon mustard, lemon juice, and ginger. Totally divine! I already jotted this down to make this yummy dressing. I always have Tahini in my fridge and only use it for hummus! need to venture out of the "box" more often!

    1. I can understand why jockey confused you. I should have said car jockey. I am not sure if it is British term or not:D This tahini dressing is so versatile, something I don't mind having in my fridge always. I want to try that on meat and fish one of these days.
